Max St. John, Owner
I attended Thomas Jefferson’s Community and Trauma Counseling graduate program and have extensively studied the causes and effects of trauma. I work through a trauma focused lens, and I am trained in EMDR Therapy. I focus on the formation of identity and relationship patterns, while also exploring the physiological experiences of people’s emotions.
My goal as a therapist is to create an environment, and to foster a relationship in which my clients feel seen, heard, and safe to express their full range of emotions. Life is complicated, and much of the time people are burdened with meeting others’ expectations; in my practice I hope people feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable, and entirely themselves. Once our relationship is fostered through trust, honesty, and safety, a client and I will unpack and process negative self-beliefs, explore the importance of past and present relationships, and implement strategies to promote long term wellness.

Hello! I am Alaina. I am a counseling student pursuing a Masters at Thomas Jefferson University. I have a passion for working with individuals to pull on their strengths and support them through the many different transitions that emerge during early adolescence and young adulthood. During our work together, I strive to cultivate a safe environment for us to work through any thoughts, feelings or emotions.
